My daughter and I have worked with Cheryl for 27 years. Cheryl was my daughters counselor, providing weekly counseling, routines, support with jobs and community and life skills throughout this time. She was a guiding light, respecting my daughter's independent decision-making while always steering her toward her well-being.
Cheryl also worked closely with me on many decisions regarding my daughter. When my daughter was diagnosed with a terminal illness, Cheryl was there to support her, her sister and me in in making the final treatment decision. Our hearts were shattered by the loss of my daughter, and Cheryl remained a constant source of unconditional support during our darkest hours. -S.L.
Cheryl has been a part of my daughters support system for the past several years. Her advocacy and respect for adults with disabilities is second to none. She understands each person uniquely. She always made sure my daughter was listened to, respected and always had a say in what she wanted or needed. -M.B.

I have been in counseling relationships (usually as the one being counseled) for much of my life. Relative to others with whom I have experience, I thought Cheryl was outstanding. She was professional yet empathetic, insightful without being overbearing, and good at guiding the pace of our interactions. I can't fully express my appreciation and gratitude. The program has given me a method for experiencing/processing my grief which helps me to approach questions and issues which are otherwise overwhelming in both size and complexity. It also has provided me with an opportunity to speak about my experience without being judged or feeling that I was imposing. I began to "feel better" as soon as we began digging into the particular relationship that I was studying, and I hope that continues. As I told a colleague, I may not yet be on the "path to recovery," but for the first time the path is visible.

The program came to me just when I needed it! The small group and structure enabled me to safely express and experience my grief. I recommend this method for anyone who likes to use a proven method.

After many years of therapies, self-help groups, and personal enrichment, The Grief Recovery Method provided me with a different perspective and approach to work through losses in my life that were not related to losing someone physically (death). The method has allowed me to have more insight into patterns in relationships and my own tendencies in how I relate to others. This insight and the method have proven to be invaluable in honoring my experiences and feelings and allowing me to move forward with a new perspective.

I couldn't have gone through this process without Cheryl being there every step of the way!! She is the most compassionate, understanding and the kindest person in the world!! Cheryl has a great wealth of knowledge and commitment to supporting this process to my daughter, me and my family. She is the best of the best. S.L.
Cheryl did a superb job leading me through the process of developing an end of life document that would indicate my wants and needs as I faced death. I used this document for my family practitioner and all my immediate family members L.R.
...She provided vigil support looking for and identifying signs of transition, watching breath and over all responses. She connected well with my family providing emotional support and life review throughout process. R.G.
...My sister was diagnosed with cancer and our family was told she had about three months to live. Cheryl was with us for the entire process. She listened, asked questions and supported us. I found it helpful to have Cheryl be alongside the whole process. C.S.
